Humanities Computing, The University of Chicago
Humanities Computing provides innovative technology services, user support, and computing resources to meet the academic and administrative needs of the Humanities Division at the University of Chicago. Our expertise emerges from our ongoing engagement with the intellectual pursuits and activities of our faculty, graduate students and staff.
We run several dozen Drupal projects of various sorts on a multi-site installation. These represent a growing collection of dynamic departmental websites, searchable/browsable web databases for library collections and research projects, and other experimental projects. In addition to Drupal sites we also provide services and consultation for HTML5 video distribution through Podcast Producer, WordPress MU blogs, database applications using FileMaker Pro, and other custom solutions as faculty research requires.
